Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of cntxt, a browser extension that saves a window's tabs as a named workspace you can close and restore later. By installing or using cntxt, you agree to them.

The service

cntxt runs locally in your browser. Workspace data — names, tabs, colors, icons — is stored on your device. If you sign in, that same data is also synced to our backend so it's available across your devices. See the Privacy Policy for details on what's collected and why.

Accounts

Signing in is optional and only needed for cross-device sync. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure. We may suspend an account used to abuse or disrupt the service.

Plans and billing

The Free plan is limited to a fixed number of workspaces and tabs per workspace, at no cost, for as long as you use the extension. The Pro plan removes those limits for a recurring monthly or yearly fee, billed and processed by our payment provider, Creem. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel at any time and you'll keep Pro access through the end of the billing period you already paid for. We don't offer prorated refunds for unused time, except where required by law.

Acceptable use

Don't use cntxt to store or sync content that's illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or attempts to abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service or our backend.

Availability

cntxt is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We aim to keep sync reliable, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we're not liable for lost tabs or workspace data — local browser storage and, if you sign in, our backend are the only copies kept.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, cntxt and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms or the service over time. If changes are material, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use cntxt after a change means you accept the new terms.
